Bit earlier than expected, but a good one all the same. Pictured below is Walter Durrbeck, my flatmate's grandad, and a veteran of the HJ during the second world war - he fought in defence of the reich, and was captured by the Americans. He also had to deal with my pidgin German all night, but apparently I made his day by showing him mine (and Tom's) K98s and uniform. He seemed genuinely happy at all of this, while I was shitting myself I might offend him...

Gosh I could do with talking to someone like him, the stories he could tell. If you made his day without offending 8) you're not doing bad, can't have been offended at all though from the looks of the piccie, so whens he coming airsofting :D

Seriously top bloke, sprightly as you like. Glad to have met him, and more than a little humble.

Looking great, System-M! Also good to have some young players - of authentic age! 8)

just a pointer, put your thompson mag bag on before the webbing (I always bloody forget!) the webbing will stop it flapping around during use.
pick up a leather boot lace so you can tie the bottom of the leather holster round your leg again, to stop things flapping around.
spend plenty of time getting used to the new webbing, get it right at home and you won't have any trouble out in the field.

Looking at your uniform, it's all there but can I suggest you get rid of the thick nasty helmet net. It looks out of place. Also your sergeants stripes might not look right once your actually at a game. I don't know about everyone else but I don't rank my uniforms.
Just my opinion, only constructive criticism.

1. Looking good System-M-
2. The Thompson looks big on anybody, it's officially the most un-ergonomic gun ever made.
3. Our helmet nets aren't much different - are they wrong?

The net looks fine to me. I agree about badging up, though - I hate being led in-game by people who get picked on the basis of their rank (which they have picked). D-Day is an example of that.

Overall, looking good mate. Agree with B&A's comment on the Thompson, too! :D

Yeah, the net looks fine in relation to the helmet. Might just might look bigger/chunkier in relation to the shorter gent.

Something a little different.

142 Commando...

The Sten is my BF'er

Yes that is a real Garrand... and yes I did get to have a play with it.

After every shot I couldn't help but say. "shit"!!! Those things don't half go for it... even on blanks! If you ever get chance to use one, watch out for the powder burns back on your face after every shot!

Dunno what you're on about here, I've always thought they're great to use. The M16 on the other hand......
